SHERRILL HYPOCRISY EXPOSED:
Congresswoman Attacks Fulop While Embracing Corrupt Menendez/Stack
Political Machine

Democratic Assembly Candidates Hector and Alonso Launch Website Documenting Stack’s Massive History of Corruption
UNION CITY, N.J.— Mikie Sherrill lashed out at her main rival in the Democratic race for Governor yesterday, regurgitating a series of largely debunked or stale narratives about Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop. While Sherrill’s turn to negative campaigning is being read by many as proof that her campaign is feeling threatened by Fulop’s rise in the polls, the tactic also exposes the supreme hypocrisy and ethical rot at the heart of her campaign. According to District 33 Democratic Assembly candidates Tony Hector and Frank Alonso, what Sherrill really needs to do is look in the mirror — she is the only candidate in the race for Governor who has embraced the corrupt Bob Menendez/Brian Stack political machine in Hudson County, essentially selling her soul in a desperate grab for political power.
“Bob Menendez is going to prison, but he still controls politics in Hudson County through his loyal partner Brian Stack who continues to execute Boss Menendez’s goals of installing a puppet governor in Mikie Sherrill who will turn a blind eye to corruption and enable their political machine to continue,” said Assembly candidate Tony Hector, who is running against Stack’s hand-picked candidates in District 33. “Mikie Sherrill has willingly sold her soul and made a deal with the devil to grab political power, and her embrace of the Menendez/Stack machine proves that she is completely unfit and unqualified to be Governor. The people of New Jersey deserve to know about the company Mikie Sherrill keeps, and we intend to tell them about it.”
Sherrill has campaigned alongside Stack and appeared at events sponsored by the Hudson County Democratic Organization, despite Stack’s well-earned reputation as one of New Jersey's most corrupt public officials. In order to fully capture Stack’s massive and unprecedented record of corruption, the Hector and Alonso for Assembly campaign is launching a new website that includes a detailed breakdown of all Stack’s many misdeeds, legal issues and unethical actions. The website is available at: stackcorruption.com.

Sherrill is also running on the HCDO ticket with Jimmy Davis, a candidate for Hudson County Sheriff with a deplorable record of mistreating women that has led to hundreds of thousands of dollars in settlements to female employees. Davis was credibly accused of “sexting” a female employee and has several other pending lawsuits from women who were employed in Bayonne City Hall under his watch.

“If Mikie Sherrill won’t call out her running mate Jimmy Davis for his disgusting mistreatment of women who worked for him in Bayonne, then she has no business claiming to be an advocate for women anywhere,” said Assembly candidate Frank Alonso. “Sherrill needs to show whether she cares more about the principles she claims to fight for, or if she’s willing to abandon those values for political power — the people are watching, and they deserve an answer.”

Tony Hector and Frank Alonso are running in the June Democratic Primary Election on the Democrats for Change team along with Gubernatorial candidate Steven Fulop and Hudson County Sheriff Frank X. Schillari.
